1. What is Goatherdess' "From Pasture To Parlour To Glen" ethos?
   We are a slow fashion brand creating handmade clothing, knitwear, and accessories from the wool and mohair of our own rare breed sheep and goats. At Goatherdess, mohair and wool travel a gentle path.

   From Pasture — where goats and sheep roam Highland hillsides.
   To Parlour — where fibres are spun, woven, and shaped by hand.
   To Glen — where garments return to the landscape they were born from, worn on walks, gatherings, fireside evenings and everyday life before being composted at end of life..

   This circular story is at the heart of everything we make.

2. How long will my order take to be dispatched?
   Since each item is made to order, we aim to dispatch all orders within 2 to 4 weeks. This allows time for creating a high-quality, personalised piece just for you.

3. Can I customise my order?
   Yes! We offer customisation options such as hem length, sleeve length, and sizing based on your measurements, so you get a perfect fit tailored to your preferences.

4. Why is slow fashion important to Goatherdess?
   Slow fashion allows us to focus on quality and sustainability, creating pieces that last and don’t contribute to the waste caused by mass production. We believe in valuing animals, people, and the environment as much as the garments we make.

5. What materials are used in your garments?
   We use natural fibres such as wool from our rare breed sheep and mohair from our Angora goats. All materials are sustainably sourced directly from our farm, and we work to preserve these at-risk breeds.

6. Do you offer international shipping?
   Yes, we ship worldwide! Please note that delivery times may vary depending on location, and international customers may be responsible for customs duties or taxes.

7. How do I care for my wool and mohair garments?
   Wool and mohair garments, including knitwear and tweed, need minimal cleaning—often just airing out between wears is enough. When necessary, hand wash gently or use a wool cycle with cold water and mild detergent for knits, and spot-clean or dry clean tweed to preserve its shape and texture. Store knitwear folded or tweed on a padded hanger in a cool, dry place to maintain softness and longevity.

8. Can I visit your farm or studio?
   Yes! Starting in 2026, we’ll be hosting open days where you can visit our farm, meet the animals, and see where our garments are created. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about the entire process, from farm to finished product.

9. Do you offer bespoke or limited-edition items?

10. What if my garment doesn’t fit perfectly?
    While we aim to tailor every item based on your measurements, if you find the fit isn’t quite right, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order. We’ll work with you to resolve any issues, whether through adjustments or exchanges.
