A dress inspired by the Brontë world.
Inspired by the long, graceful dresses worn during the Victorian era — and particularly the world of the Brontë sisters — this gown captures the romance of nineteenth-century country dress without becoming costume. The deep navy linen and dusky blue waist sash echo the quiet, moody colours of the Yorkshire landscape, while the long flowing silhouette recalls the simplicity and elegance of dresses worn by women of the period.

Caring for Your Linen Dress
Linen is a natural fibre that becomes softer and more beautiful with wear. Treat your dress gently and it will reward you for years to come.
Washing
We recommend washing as little as possible. When needed, gently hand wash in cool water using a mild, natural detergent. Do not soak for prolonged periods.Drying
Gently reshape while damp and allow to air dry naturally. Keep away from direct heat and avoid tumble drying.Pressing
Linen naturally develops a beautiful, relaxed character as it is worn. If you prefer a crisper finish, press on the reverse side while slightly damp, using a warm iron.Storing
Store clean and completely dry, folded or hanging on a padded hanger. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight.A little wrinkling is part of linen's charm. We believe clothing should be lived in — not kept perfect.

Handknitted & made to order
Every Goatherdess knitted piece is handknitted to order.. This means your jacket is made especially for you, rather than taken from a stock of ready-made garments.
Handknitting is a slow process, and each piece takes many hours to create and carefully finish. Small variations in the texture and character of the wool are part of what makes a handknitted garment unique.
Please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery.
Your jacket will be made especially for you, with the time and care that handmade work deserves. We believe clothing made this way is worth waiting for — a piece to wear, live in and cherish for years to come.
