Wool/Mohair Shawl

£165.00

Soft, warm and beautifully understated, our shawl is knitted in our rare breed wool and mohair blend, offering natural warmth with an exceptionally light feel against the skin.

Available in Dusky Aqua and Dusky Rose, each shawl is machine knitted in our on-farm studio, bringing together the softness of mohair with the character and warmth of wool.

At 60 × 200 cm, it is generously sized to drape comfortably around the shoulders, wrap around you on cooler days or add a soft layer to an evening outfit.

A little warmth, wherever the day takes you.

  • Caring for your Goatherdess wool jacket

Wool is naturally resilient and requires very little washing. Allowing the fibres to breathe between wears is often all that is needed.

    • Air after wearing — hang or lay flat somewhere well ventilated and allow the wool to breathe.

    • Spot clean where needed — gently dab marks with cool water rather than washing the whole garment.

    • Hand wash only if necessary — use cool water and a small amount of gentle wool detergent. Do not rub, wring or agitate, as this can cause the wool to felt or lose its shape.

    • Rinse gently in cool water and press out excess water without twisting.

    • Dry flat, reshaping the jacket carefully while damp. Keep away from direct heat and radiators.

    • Store folded rather than hanging for long periods to help preserve the shape of the knitted peplum.

A little care goes a long way. Wool was made to be lived in, and with gentle care, your Goatherdess jacket is designed to be worn and cherished for many seasons.

  • Handknitted & made to order

Every Goatherdess knitted piece is handknitted to order.. This means your jacket is made especially for you, rather than taken from a stock of ready-made garments.

Handknitting is a slow process, and each piece takes many hours to create and carefully finish. Small variations in the texture and character of the wool are part of what makes a handknitted garment unique.

Please allow 4–6 weeks for delivery.

Your jacket will be made especially for you, with the time and care that handmade work deserves. We believe clothing made this way is worth waiting for — a piece to wear, live in and cherish for years to come.
